Thursday, November 9, 2017, we said goodbye to the toughest woman that ever lived, the legend of Cypress Hall Farms, my aunt who took me in and raised me here on CHF, (Mamma as she loved to hear me say) Jane Wilson Langley. I grew up here on CHF and listened to the stories of the legends before me. Jane upheld that status with her husband Al for decades farming tobacco, cleaning seeds, growing crops and beef cattle, and, at the pinnacle of her career, boasted as the largest Boer goat producer in N.C. with around 2,000 head here on the farm. Jane loved any animal (except Pete who feuded with her). Noah's ark wouldn't hold all of the animals that are with her now, and I know she's having the greatest time with them. Jane will be sorely missed here, and we appreciate any prayers you may be sending up. Fair winds and following goats Jane. Visitation is Tuesday at 7-8:30 p.m. and Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Stricklands Funeral Home in Louisburg, NC.
